Becoming an Au pair will enable you to earn pocket money and you will get your accommodation and food for free. It is a wonderful way of broadening your horizons, making new friends, learning new skills. It is also a very good experience to include on your CV once you start looking for jobs, as it shows your independence and commitment.
To be an Au pair means to become a member of the host family. It is very important that you respect and follow the customs of the household. You must make every effort to build a good relationship and friendship with the children of the household.
As an Au pair, you are responsible for the safety of the children and the way they behave when you are asked to look after them. It is also important that you are happy to join in your host family's life both for yourself and the family.
That's why you must choose your host family carefully. To help you make a good choice we need to have a good idea about your expectations, hobbies, and preferences. If we offer you potential host families and you are not sure, then please discuss this with us. We might either be able to address your doubts or we might help you looking for another family.
At Goodaupairs we will try to select the best host family for you. We will verify things such as addresses and telephone numbers and find out what the family would offer and expects in return. However, when a family is introduced to you, you must make sure that you feel comfortable and at ease with them. If, for any reason, after you have joined your host family and there is some problem with the host family, you must get in touch with us straight away.
Your host family will rely on you and your commitment to help them. You need to be able to trust your host family and the same is true for them – they need to trust you. For example, you must ask their permission before talking about, giving names or putting pictures of members of your host family on a social website, because that could violate their privacy.
The same applies to the host family: they need to respect your privacy. We therefore require all host families to ensure that you have your own room and an agreed timetable so you know when you are expected to work and when you are free to do the things you want to do.

Terms And Conditions for Aupairs
| 1. | I understand that I must report to Goodaupairs Ltd (“the Agency”) immediately if a placement has been made. All information must go via the Agency. |
| 2. | I declare that the information I have given to the Agency is true. |
| 3. | I accept that I will be responsible for paying my fares to and from the host family (“the Family”). The Host family and me will agree who is responsible for paying the fares to language classes. |
| 4. | I accept that as an Au pair or Au pair plus I will live as a member of the Family. I will make an effort to build a good relationship and friendship with the children of the Family. |
| 5. | I understand that I will be responsible to the best of my ability for the safety and conduct of the Family’s child(ren) whenever I am in charge. |
| 6. | I accept that being an Au pair or Au pair plus means living as a member of the Family and that it puts some limitations on my activities. I agree to follow any reasonable rules laid down by the Family. |
| 7. | I agree that the information on potential host families given to me by the Agency is confidential and I shall not pass any of this information (including photos) to anyone without the Agency’s consent. |
| 8. | I agree that any information I may come across on the Family while being their Au pair or Au pair plus is also confidential and I shall not discuss or pass any of this information to anyone without the Family’s consent. |
| 9. | I accept that I shall inform the Agency immediately if I want to leave the host family sooner than agreed and that I must give at least two week’s notice to the Family if I wish to leave. |
| 10. | I understand that the Agency is here to help me and that I can get in touch with the Agency if I have any problems or other issues I would like to discuss during my stay. |
| 11. | I understand that the Agency endeavours to introduce me to the most suitable families, but that it is ultimately my sole responsibility to be satisfied as to the suitability of the Family. |
| 12. | I am not an employee of the Agency and I understand that I cannot hold the Agency responsible or liable for anything that happens to me during my stay with my host family. |
