Goodaupairs is looking for experienced and qualified nannies
Are you a nanny looking for a family?
If you are a qualified nanny with experience looking after children we would love to hear from you. We have a number of families throughout the UK and continental Europe who are looking for nannies. We have both short-term and longer-term positions available.
All our services are completely free to nannies. The families pay our placement fees if we find the right nanny position for you. However, apart from sending your CV and photo to nannies@goodaupairs.co.uk we require you to provide information to enable us to undertake our vetting process. The quicker you provide this information, the quicker we will be able to find a family for you.
We require you to email the following information:
- two forms of ID (e.g. copies of passport, identity card, driving licence);
- copy of driving licence if you have one and information on whether you have had any driving accidents/convictions in the last five years;
- enhanced CRB check or equivalent if having worked in a country other than the UK;
- medical certificate stating that you are healthy, mentally and physically, and fit to look after children;
- references of your last THREE employers;
- copies of your childcare qualifications;
- copy of your First Aid qualification(s);
- copy of work Visa if you require a Visa to work in the UK or EU.
Nanny Pay
Well qualified and experienced nannies can look forward to excellent pay and a rewarding career. The pay will clearly depend on a number of factors, such as:
- Qualifications and experience;
- Live in or Live out;
- Which part of the country (if in UK) or which EU country;
- number of hours and days to be worked;
- duties to be undertaken.
In our experience the pay for a Live-in nanny in London ranges from £200-£450 (net salary) for a five day week, for a Live-out nanny this could range from £400-£700 net salary for a five day week.

Enhanced CRB check
There are two types of CRB checks, namely, the standard check and the enhanced check.
In order for Goodaupairs to find you a family in the UK or on the Continent, you will need supply an up to date Enhanced CRB check (or foreign equivalent). We advise all nannies to ensure that you have an Enhanced CRB Disclosure from the UK Criminal Records Bureau carried out every year, as this check becomes invalid after just one year, if you wish to work as a nanny in the UK.
An Enhanced CRB Disclosure is the highest level of check available to anyone working in regulated activity with children or vulnerable adults. Enhanced CRB checks contain the same information as the Standard check plus the following:
- any relevant and proportionate information held by the local police forces; and
- a check of the new Children and/or Vulnerable Adults barred lists.
How to obtain an Enhanced CRB check
If you do not already have a valid enhanced CRB check, you can obtain one through one of the Umbrella bodies. Please note that it may take between 6 and 8 weeks to complete an enhanced CRB check. For more information you may want to visit the CRB website.
Selection process
We will contact you to discuss potential Nanny positions either in the UK or on the Continent. We will give you a brief outline of each family and will discuss your experience and qualifications with these families in return. If both you and the family are interested we will arrange an interview. Generally speaking, you should expect two interviews (if at all possible in person and otherwise using a Webcam) before the family will offer you a position.
Many families are looking for a nanny to start as soon as possible and it is therefore essential that we have all required paperwork from you as soon as possible to complete the vetting. Many families only want to interview fully vetted candidates.
