Goodaupairs recognises that Au Pairs can provide reliable, flexible and affordable childcare for busy families. Our Au Pairs like looking after children and have experience looking after children. Our Au Pairs have been carefully selected, extensively interviewed and fully vetted, including CRB checked. Goodaupairs enables families to find the right Au Pair!
Goodaupairs also recognises that there are situations in which an Au Pair might not be able to provide the level of childcare required. For example, it is generally not advised for Au Pairs to have sole care for children under two years. Most Au Pairs are also reluctant to look after more than two children. Similarly, if parents work long or irregular hours, have to work night shifts, an Au Pair is unlikely to be able to meet the families needs. This is why Goodaupairs carefully selects and fully vets qualified and experienced nannies to meet the needs of these families. We recognise that nannies will be significantly more expensive but they do provide a quality of care which cannot be expected from an Au Pair. This will enable families peace of mind, not having to rush out of key meetings or other work engagements, knowing that their children are in safe hands no matter how. Goodaupairs experience and expertise
Goodaupairs has been founded by a husband and wife team with extensive experience of hosting Au Pairs. We have been host family to a number of Au Pairs both through Au Pair Agencies and through internet websites offering Au Pair services over the years.
We quickly discovered that using internet Au Pair services could be full of pitfalls - with Au Pairs not turning up when they were supposed to or paperwork not being in order as promised. However, we also found that some large Au Pair Agencies bombarded us with unsuitable Au Pair candidates, giving us the feeling that effectively we had to do the job of selecting Au Pairs ourselves. Whilst we thought we were paying the Au Pair Agency to do this on our behalf. We therefore decided to use our experience (positive and negative) to set up an Au Pair Agency ourselves. Since then we have gone from strength to strength. However, we are always grateful for any feedback on how we could improve our services, including any changes you might want to see to our website.

The key to our success is our ability to offer a friendly and personalised service to both families and Au Pairs/Nannies. We don't wish to have hundreds of families and thousands of Au Pairs/Nannies on our database as we could not provide the service we believe is necessary. We speak to every Au Pair, every Nanny, and every family which registers with us to see how we can help.
We believe that the key to a successful outcome for both the family and the Au Pair or Nanny is the successful match of what both want to get out of the placement, including some give and take on both sides.
Our experience has taught us that a lot comes down to creating realistic expectations. If this is achieved, then an Au Pair cannot only provide the family with affordable, reliable and flexible childcare but it will be an enriching experience for both the family, especially the children, and the Au Pair. Similarly, we believe that it is crucial to ensure that the family and prospective nanny have a similar outlook and approach to looking after children to make the placement a success.
We believe that through our careful matching process and providing on-going support once a placement has been made we can contribute to making the placement a success and enjoyable experience for the parents, children and Au Pair or Nanny.

Registration is free for families, we only ask you to commit about 10 minutes of your time to help us find the best Au Pair or Nanny for you. Our services are completely free for Au Pairs and Nannies who are looking for a family in the UK, but we do charge a £150 fee to UK au pairs looking for a family in another EU country. Also, we ask all au pairs to commit about 10 minutes of your time filling out the registration form. We also need you to submit a number of documents as part of our vetting process but we discuss this in our first telephone conversation with you. Please make sure that you give us a landline phone number and your Skype name and/or Windows Messenger name so we can get in touch with you straight away.
